Iraq's roads, live. Reported by the people driving them.

Zarzur is a navigation app built in Erbil for the way Iraq really drives: live alerts from other drivers, directions by landmarks you can see, and arrival times that know Baghdad at 2 pm on a Thursday.

2taps

to report a flood, a crash or a fuel queue

60s

between live traffic updates on every route

3languages

Arabic, Sorani and English, right to left where it should be

300m

trimmed from both ends of every trip, so your door stays private

01 · Live rerouting

The bridge just jammed. You're already on another road.

When a faster way opens up, Zarzur shows it as a calm card with a countdown, not a pop-up. It says how much it saves and why: an accident on al-Jumhuriya bridge, a flooded underpass, a standstill near Tahrir Square. Tap Cancel if you know better.

  • Up to three routes, each with a plain reason: fewer reports, avoids flooding, toll
  • Switches only when it saves more than 3 minutes or 10%
  • Paid placement never changes your route. Ever.

02 · Why Zarzur

Made for Iraqi roads, not adapted to them.

01

Live from drivers

Jams, crashes, potholes and water on the road, reported in two taps and confirmed by the next drivers who pass. Old reports fade on their own.

02

Landmarks, not house numbers

“Turn right after Mansour Mall.” “Second lane after the blue mosque.” Directions the way people in Iraq actually give them.

03

Arrive by, not just leave now

Tell Zarzur when you need to be there. It learns each road by the quarter hour and nudges you when it's time to go.

04

Private by default

Drive without an account. Trip IDs rotate every trip, the ends of every trace are cut off, and data stays in the region.

03 · Community reports

Two taps. Then every driver behind you knows.

The report button is always under your thumb. Pick a tile, pick how bad, done. The drivers who pass next get one quiet question, only when they are slow or stopped: still there, or gone?

The thank-you loop

Every report you send comes back as a number: how many drivers it reached and how many minutes it saved them. That number is why people keep reporting.

04 · Built for here

The hazards no other map plans for.

Flooded underpasses

After the first winter rain, Baghdad's underpasses fill up. Drivers mark them, and routes steer around until someone reports them dry.

Fuel queues and prices

Open, long queue or no fuel, with the price per litre in dinars. Search “fuel on my route” and sort by detour minutes, not distance.

Arbaeen and event closures

Pilgrimage routes, Muharram processions and marathon days go on the map as official closures with start and end times.

Erbil's ring roads

Lane guidance for the 60m, 100m and 120m roads and Baghdad's big roundabouts, with a close-up before the complex junctions.

Dust storms

Low-visibility alerts pushed in your language when a storm rolls in, and slower, safer arrival times while it lasts.

Light on data

Vector maps, no autoplay photos, batched uploads. Settings shows exactly how many megabytes Zarzur used this month.

05 · Landmark directions

Directions you can see through the windscreen.

Iraq has few house numbers people use, so Zarzur speaks in landmarks: malls, mosques, roundabout monuments, the big shops everyone knows. For your own door, drop a pin and describe it once. Share it as one link.

06 · Arrive later

Need to be there at nine? Zarzur picks the minute you leave.

Zarzur keeps a picture of every road for every 15 minutes of every weekday. Set an arrive-by time and it checks live traffic again 45, 20 and 5 minutes before you should go.

07 · Privacy

Your trips are yours. We only need the traffic.
