Zarzur for Cities
Free, on purpose.
Traffic police, municipalities and governorate offices get live road data from Zarzur at no cost. In return, they send us the official closures, so every driver hears about them in time.
01 · The exchange
A two-way street.
You send
- Official closures and diversions
- Road works with start and end dates
- Event plans: Arbaeen, Muharram, marathons, VIP routes
- Flood and storm warnings
We send
- Live and historic jams, by road segment
- Incidents reported and confirmed by drivers
- Closure compliance: who still drives a closed road
- Flood and pothole hotspots, ranked
02 · Closures
Draw it once. Routing respects it within 60 seconds.
Closures are polygons or lines with a time window, a reason and a severity. Recurring events like Arbaeen can be saved as templates and reused each year.
Arbaeen · Karbala approach
Closed to cars · 06:00–23:00 · 10 days
Severity: full closure
Reason: pilgrimage walking route
03 · Privacy
Roads, not people.
- Aggregated by road segment and time. No individual driver is ever shown.
- Minimum 50 drivers in any cell before it appears in a report.
- Data hosted in the region, with a lawful-request register.
- Checkpoint and police reports are switched off in every governorate.
